I found a car on OfferUp and it said to email the seller Teresa Castillo so I emailed her and she asked for my information name and address and said she would email it to eBay then I receive an email from eBay saying I was accepted and I need to get six $200 eBay cards and scratch off code and take pictures and email them to eBay so I did that and I got an email back from eBay saying the cards were authenticated and shipment of card would start immediately then I get an email from both Teresa Castillo and eBay saying I need to pay another $800 for insurance on the travel that there were two other cars on the truck, and they all paid including Teresa Castillo, but I was assured when the car was delivered, I would get my 800 back in cash so I sent four more $200 eBay cards and I have all the emails and pictures of cards then I get an email from eBay saying transportation is in effect then the next day I get a text from eBay saying that they are holding the truck With the cars at the California border and I have to pay another 600 for California taxes so once again, eBay assured me, I would get the 600 back when they delivered the car so I asked him I’m going to get $1400 back when they deliver the car and they said yes and once again I have all the emails printed out I also asked when the car would be delivered, and eBay said I would be notified two hours before delivery since then I have heard nothing from either party. I went into eBay customer service and I received a phone call back from them and he said he put a freeze on the cards and it would be investigated and I would get my 2600 back in 5 to 7 days and that I should get a police report which I did when I got a call back the next day , after contacting customer service, I got someone else and told me there was no file and he could not find a file the next day I called again, and a woman called me back and said that it was not eBay and there was nothing they could do to help me and get my money back. I don’t know what to do , I am a senior on a limited income. I borrowed $2600 from a friend and I get no car or help I have printed out all email conversations between myself and eBay and myself and Teresa Castillo and they show confirmation numbers and invoice numbers. I even have the eBay buyer protection order number.
