I was contacted by phone. Cash USA already had my personal info, including where I banked. They offered me the $3000.00 Loan I needed at comfortable terms. They told me they would get back to me on an approval. The next day they called and said I would be approved but I needed to boost my credit score with a type of payday loan. They said they would deposit money to my account and I would send it right back to make it look as if I had made the payment and this would boost my score. They deposited an odd amount of money like $1209.43 to my account and told me to go to the nearest Walmart and to call them from the parking lot. I did and they said we would be sending a MoneyGram. After he walked me through it, the cashier said she couldn't accept it because it threw up to many red flags. So I was ordered to go back to my car. They then sent me to a Rite Aid and had me purchase $1100.00 worth of iTunes cards. When I got home I had to read off the numbers on the back of the cards to them. He then told me my $3000.00 would be deposited in 45 minutes. After that, they blocked me from their phone number and I haven't heard from them since. I knew it was a scam at Walmart but was told if I didn't go along with it there would be dire consequences.
