I received an email from this business along with a pre-approval agreement for a loan in the amount of $5000. When I contacted the agent (Peter Scott), he indicated that I was approved for the $5000 but because my credit score is low, I had to have insurance which would help me get approved because it would ensure the debt would be repaid. He also said that there was a "red flag" on my credit score that would need to be removed. When I asked how this would be done, he told me that mobile checks would be deposited into my bank account and that when the money arrives I was to withdraw it and buy gift cards in certain amounts and only for certain businesses. I was to take pictures of the receipts and the activation codes and text them to him. Each time there seemed to be an issue causing me to have to repeat the process. I was in dire need of money so I believed what he said and did what was asked. Finally after the final transaction was done, he informed me that the $5000 would be in my account by 5pm that day. As I was checking my bank balance online, I noticed my balance creeping into the negative side because all of the mobile checks that had been deposited were bouncing back due to "account unknown." So all of that money, which was no longer in my account, was being deducted from my balance. My bank quickly took action, called me, told me it was a scam and immediately shut down my account. They tried to return the remaining mobile deposits but were unable to. So my ending balance was -$3500 which I am responsible for paying back. Any money I had in my account that was mine was also drained by this company. My bank was able to track the mobile deposits back to CashSolutions. I believe their intention was to drain my account to the $5000 loan amount so that when the money was placed into my account it would negate the negative balance and leave me with nothing but a monthly repayment amount of $240. I reported this to all of the businesses that gift cards were purchased for and they put stops on all the numbers and froze the account trying to use them. This is horrible targeting people who are having financial problems during this pandemic.
