I received a call from someone claiming he was with cash app support. He stated someone by the name of Angelica or angelic was trying to send a payment to a Jordan Johnson but incidentally sent it to me. So they wanted to reach out to me confirm whether or not this was my transaction because the transfer was requesting to be canceled. I didn’t think much about it and the person didn’t ask me to verify any personal info. However, he did ask me for a sign in code and to copy and paste a link to a text he sent me. An hour later I received a call from my bank that someone was trying to withdraw funds through debit card that was linked to me cash app acct. they never allowed the attempts to go through and immediately invalidated my card and told me to get a new one. I also received an email after that call from cash app stating that someone was trying to deposit and withdraw funds from my cash app acct but they thought the transactions weren’t valid and didn’t allow them to go through either. I have since changed my pin, name tag, deleted my debit card, blocked the person who was trying to do the transactions and sent an email to cash app with thisinfo.
