A business partner of mine, effected by the pandemic, had been having PUA payments sent via CashApp. A large portion of his payments came up missing from his account. In an effort to contact CashApp, he sent emails and searched for numbers to contact CashApp support. After months of trying, he called me this morning saying that he finally had a representative on the phone who was telling him that he needed to have someone send him money to verify his account. They were very specific about the amount of $500.00. I listened to the rep who assured us both that once the account was verified, my partner would immediately be able to send the money right back to me. However, his account was cleaned out, including my $500.00. When questioning the representative about what happened, they then told my partner that he had to do another verification by going to the nearest drugstore to purchase 2 Ebay cards of $200 each for physical verification and his money would then be refunded. At this point, I was sure this was a scam and called representative myself. Without verifying any info, he gave me my business partners info and information about the transaction! When I requested to get my money back, he was persistant and extremely rude about going to purchase the Ebay cards before either of us received a refund. I asked to speak to a supervisor and he told me "no". We argued about how he was speaking to me. He ridiculed me and started saying I wasn't getting anything back. Saying things like "go smoke your cigarette" and "shut up". Furious, I hung up and called back hoping to get another rep and asked to speak to a manager. It was the same guy who answered with an obviously disguised voice! I told him that I knew it was him and I will be reporting his scam. He immediately went back to his regular voice and said "Do whatever you have to do. You aren't going to get a supervisor and you're not getting anything back." He continued to talk and ridicule me while I called my business partner to let him know what was happening. As soon as my partner answered, the rep hung up. When I call back now, all I get is a voicemail. My partner was able to get through and the rep denied even speaking to me and was still requesting the Ebay cards. This was a horrible experience that I didn't trust in the first place! I trusted my business partner and now I have to wait for the actual CashApp representatives to email me back to see if its at all possible to receive my money back.

This morning at 11am I couldn't withdraw money from my Cashapp card through an ATM. The ATM kept declining the card. There is no Customer Service number on the back of my Cash App card. So I googled the number, and asked Siri. Google said CashApp's customer support number was 1-855-351-2274.

I called 1-855-351-2274 and a man answered saying: "Thank you for calling CashApp customer Support. How may I help you?" He had a Middle Eastern accent. I told him why I was calling. He asked me to hold. He came back and said my card was declined because there was a block on it due to fraudulent activity. He said he could help square the problem away. He told me to go to the app store and download teamviewer quick support. I did. Then he told me to go to CashApp and chose the option in the bottom corner to scan my card. Then he told me to go to the app and start broadcast. Then go back to CAshapp to link bank accounts. My PNC bank account was there, he told me to delete it and re-enter it, with my account and routing number, then he told me to move $500 from my cashapp to my PNC account. I did that. Then he asked if it went througtold him it did. Then he told me to enter 4767.52 with an access code, then next. He said it was fixed. Then he asked to see the chip on my Cashapp card through the scan app, he said great, everything is fixed, and in 5 mintues I would be able to sue the card again. Five minutes goes by and I see $1 in my account. I called PNC. They said the charges are pending not posted. They said to dispute it and try to get my money back when the charges have posted. I called the police, and a detective would reach out to me.
