I received an email from a company called Cascadia Healthcare about a hiring opportunity for a remote data entry clerk position. After connecting with the senior recruiter named Kathy Stephenson, she directed me to communicate via website called RingCentral. At first I thought it was the real deal until she sent me a $4950 check to purchase equipment. The whole thing just feels off. I researched the company and it is a legit company. I reached out to them and they do not have an open remote data entry clerk position. She also used an email ([email protected]) on RingCentral to seem more believable. I have stopped responding to her after she has sent me the check. I am reporting this because I am worried since she has my personal information such as my address and bank name.
