Carlson’s Russian Blue Farm Reports & Reviews (4)

I inquired about a Russian blue kitten, and everything seemed legitimate. I was sent a contract to sign, read reviews from supposed customers, reviewed their website…. After payment was made I was contacted by their supposed shipping company (United Safe Shippers) demanding another $1400 for insurance and crate fees. When I refused they became rude and pushy. When I contacted Carlson’s about this they insisted it was standard and refundable upon the kitten’s delivery. I refused to make make any additional payments, and they quit responding to my emails and would not answer or return calls. When I sent an email stating I expected a full refund or would get my lawyer involved, they said they had incurred some expense as the kitten had been returned to them from the shipping company. They said they needed time to get the money but would give a full refund. I told them that I needed to see a substantial portion refunded immediately, as their expenses could not be close to the $980 I paid them. Their response was “ok”, and I have still received nothing. Neither the breeder or the shipping company are listed with the Better Business Bureau, which I should have checked before sending payment. Also the kitten I supposedly bought (named Chloe) was never removed from the gallery of available kittens, and remains listed.

Yep. They are now "Nicole's Russian Blue Cattery" and the reviews say "thank you Christine". They also have no Google Reviews, no social media (major red flag because actual certified breeders will have social media to promote and let people leave reviews), the address they gave is a residence in North Dakota (I google viewed it).

It seems that they just keep changing names whenever they are caught. Absolute [censored].

I also inquired on Chloe and was advised she was available. We have been exchanging emails and was about to start the paperwork when I decided to look further. The additional pictures seemed too professional. I saw your post and find it odd that 2 months later Chloe is still available and 13 weeks old. After reading your post I checked TICA and CFA and neither Carlson or now Sarah Russian Blue Farm are listed as a certified breeder yet they claimed they have papers. When I inquired further about the papers and also asked more information of the shipping they are no longer responding.

I doubt this is truth to this. I got my two little girls from carlson and this doesn’t reflect well on his reputation.
