I applied for a remote Personal Assistant position through Indeed.com for CareSense Home Care. The company seemed legitimate which is why I sent in an application. I received an email from Mike within a few days and began the hiring process. I got an email yesterday saying I was hired. The attached documents and forms they needed filled out, however, were a copy of an application (if I got the job, why do I need to fill it out again?), my banking information, and a W4 form which would include my SSN and everything. I began digging around online for about my third time regarding this hiring process because I felt that was too personal of information to be giving without having been provided more specifics about the company as a whole, and because I couldn't find Mike or the supposed gentleman I'd be a PA for anywhere online. Luckily I saw someone report this scam as well, and they received the same email, word-for-word aside from their own name. It read,

"Hello [Name],

Congratulations! Our HR team processed the shortlisted applicants and You have been selected for the remote assistant job. You'll work as Mr Paul Zaffarano's assistant, he is our Treasury and Control Supervisor. As you know you'll work remotely from home. However, your efficiency and diligence will be required at all times. You are expected to avail yourself remotely anytime during work hours.

Your job description is quite simple and straightforward. You will run errands mostly online, you'll sometimes have to do parcel pick ups, mail runs or a check to the bank, shopping and running errands getting supplies. Whatever is required of you within the scope of a remote assistant job.

Sometimes, you'll need funds to carry out assignments or make purchases. Funds will be sent to you in form of a direct deposit or a Check to carry out the required task e.g making purchases of relief items and gifts items and sending them to the appropriate recipient. A FedEx account or funds for mailing out parcels will be made available.

You'll work at least 4-5hrs,Monday-Friday. Usually between 9am and 4pm. The offer is $600/week to be paid biweekly. Your actual start date is 17th of May 2021. Your Orientation will be on 13th/14th of May. The first pay day is the 28th of May 2021.

You are required to provide a government ID i.e Driver's license (Front and back) or Int'l passport. I've also attached a tax form and direct deposit form to be filled out and sent back to me for final processing of your employment. When filling out the phone number section, be sure to put down a number that is text message enabled as you'll be contacted via text. I'll wait for your email with the required documents
