I live in the United States and purchased a pair of Nike shoes from a retail website, which I assumed was based in the UK, given prices were in Great Britain pounds (later realized there was an options to convert amount to US dollars). Anyhow, my purchase was around $130. My first red flag was that they requested an email address but I never received an order confirmation. Waited a few days and still no notice of order status or shipping. Used the link on the website to leave a message, asking for a status update but never heard back. Waited a week and left another message. Still no response within a few days. Left a third message, threatening to report them if I didn't hear back in the next couple of business days. Of course I did not. My credit card had been charged for the amount but to something called Chingapay, so I filed a claim with my bank. Now, almost a month later I have received a package from said business, tracked from China, containing a cheap pair of sunglasses instead of the shoes I ordered. Hilariously, the outside of the tiny package that would fit maybe some baby shoes, it states the contents of the package are "shoes". Note inside thanked me for my business. Today is November 11 and they have until December 24 to respond to my bank, so as of now I have been issued a credit for the money.
