I was contacted by a person named Jeffery Steve to interview for a job with scholastic. My other contact was Jennifer Hart. I interviewed for the position and got it. They emailed a professional looking contract for the remote position. I signed the forms and sent it back. Then they sent me a digital check to deposit mobile to buy the equipment needed for the position. But it was a personal account with the name Teressa M Gyorki on it. It didn’t seem right so I started digging, found it is a job scam and am reporting it.
