I was approached to interview for a job of copywriting and was interviewed through wire app and presented a job offer the next day. They requested my bank information with the job offer In which I did give. I was sent a check by them to cash for $2400 for technology equipment needed for the job. The check was from not the company I interviewed with and from a deli restaurant in a completely different state. Upon further review of the company it seemed fraudulent and I called the number I was given and spoke with a lady who said it was completely normal and the deli was a sponsor for the company. I then searched the phone number and determined it was a scam number.
