I received a call from a company stating they had papers to deliver to me. I called the number back and they claimed they are trying to resolve a old debt about a online payday loan that was given to me from 7 years ago to a account that was also closed the year of the loan. I had been receiving calls like this for the past year or so and every time I let them know I never received anything and that I want to dispute it. This time I told them the same thing and they told me to have a nice day in court, but then I find out that they are calling my friends from high school telling them that they need to speak with me even though they already had. I called them back and let them know that I had had enough, to either give me the papers or I would file for harassment and before I could even finish they hung up in my face, I called back they answered and hung up again, and again then the last time they answered and he claimed he never hung up on me. I asked for their company name and he told me cardinal, I advised I didn't want them passing my information on to any other company, I wanted them to stop calling my friends and family or I would sue, he hung up on me again.

Claiming I didn't pay a payday loan for $350.00, I have never done an online payday loan, they have the last four of my social security somehow and my name and cell phone number. When I called the number back and asked him to repeat who he was he hung up. Have left several threatening voice mails, and when I actually got a hold of someone he tried to use scare tactics and insults to convince me I did this which I clearly know that I didn't. Threatened that I will be summonsed and charged, which I said go ahead and send them to my front door then

People keep calling from different numbers claiming to be Cardinal a recovery group for a payday loan that was taken out in 2010. I told them I paid in full and I'm not sure why they are calling but I needed a validated letter stating what was owed he responded that until payment was made he could not send this out. He had an old bank acct number and old address not even the right phone number. I let him know these were not correct. He gave me his supposed contact info which I looked up and it was a Verizon wireless number. I called back someone different answered said he was unavailable I asked the name of the company he said Cardinal. Asked did I want to make payments I said no I'm seeking advice first. The same guy from first time called 2 days later asking if I was ready to make a payment I said I have gotten legal advice in which if you cannot send me a validated letter of what I owe then dispute or what ever needs to be done. He said ok have a good day. Never asked for an address or contact info to dispute anything.

I received a call on 1/27/16 from 855-738-6746. The company was called Cardinal and does not have a website (I asked). The nature of the call was to address that I had an outstanding advanced pay day loan that I had not paid from 2008. When asked what information they had, they listed my mailing address from 2008, a previous bank account number (the last 4 digits), and an email address. The email address they had on file for me was wrong. The gentleman on the phone stated that they had been trying to contact me since then. He also stated that if I did not pay the loan for $390, I would be served and I would owe $4,600. I asked for proof that this loan was not paid and they had none to provide. The case number they gave was #377306.

I did pay the $390 and I received a receipt from [email protected], but there is no company name on it. The merchant name on the receipt is National Billing.
