Individual called from (855) 871-4314 stating that I had obtain an internet payday loan from Knox Financial in 2008 for $300.00. I respond, I did not apply for no internet payday loan from Knox in 2008. Who is Knox and do this company exist today? The female said yes this company still exist. I asked for the telephone number and the female said she did not have it. She told me I got a $300.00 loan and the repayment was $490.00 which my bank did not release funds for repayment. She knew my bank name and the address I reside at during the time. She stated her company sent a letter to that address in Nov. 2015 to settle for the repayment. Once again I told the lady I did not have a internet payday loan in 2008 with Knox Financial and what's there location? I told her I was a victim of identity theft and this may stem from that. She told me there fee was $3000.00 to collect on this debt plus the outstanding balance. I could settle or go to court and explain. I told her to send me the papers to my current address and I will see her in court. The female hung up. I called the telephone number back and a gentleman answered stating his name. I asked the gentleman the name of the company and he gave me his name again. I repeated, what's the name of the company and he said Cardinal Management Coastal, why? I stated, I need it for the FTC, BBB, and my lawyer he said have a bless day and hung up.
