I received a check from Caplin & Drysdale Attorneys for $3,580.09 and was wondering if it is real or a fake so I emailed them the check information - Check No 540095 dated 10/2/20 to **** *******, *** ******* Dr, Amherst, NY 14228. The bank on the check is Bank of America. It came via priority overnight FedEx (Tracking number 3975 **** ****) on 10/7/20 with no explanation, just a check. The originating address on the Fedex label is "Center for Immuno-Oncology, 450 Brookline Ave, Boston, MA 02215". When I tracked the Fedex it originated in Memphis Tennessee. Caplin & Drysdale said it is a fraudulent check and to not cash it. No surprise here but I'm hoping this information will help track this down.
