The service that was offered was student loan forgiveness. They said that under the W*** * *** Act made by *** that I could be eligible for 80-90% of my loans forgiven if I work for a public service or non-profit job. Since I was/ am a substitute teacher, I did "qualify." I give him my social security number to get started because he insisted that they worked with the *** ** ***. Also, Andrew *** (*** *** *** ***) accessed my FSA and looked at all my student loans. He had me write down on a piece of paper in front of me what I owe to *** ** ***, the amount it would be after years of making an actual effort to pay them off, the amount of $240 for four months, the amount of $49 for 24 months, then paying $0 for 96 months, a total of $2,136, and savings of $67,764 in loans. He did this so I could have a visual in front of me that we could both talk about. He told me that I had 8 business days to give him the first payment of $240 and needed my debit card number to start the loan forgiveness. I told him that I might be able to pay in a couple days, but I would need to get back with him. They took out the $240 anyway. Luckily that is all they took an that I caught it quickly. It sounded amazing because I did hear of the William D Ford Act, but come to find out, loan forgiveness can only be given by your loan servicer. I called my loan servicer and they told me that any business that claims instant loan forgiveness and payment up front is a scam. I called Andrew twice with no call back. Called Andrew again when I found out they were scammers and cursed at him on the message and then he called me back that time. He called just to call me a bad person and that I would never be able to get loan forgiveness from anywhere again. He was trying to scare me or threaten me.
