This company (Capital Realty Leasing) posted an employment ad online for a remote position. Once I sent in my resume, there was a man by the name of "Randal James" who gave me a call. He explained that he was interested in learning more about my experience and would like to set up an interview. We had a phone interview and he immediately send me a background check form to fill out afterward. I noticed the name of the company was different on the form. It was under "National realty leasing", he explained to me that that was their Parent company ( which was a lie ). I also noticed that their website didn't provide a lot of information, also their address showed an empty abandoned building on google maps. The pay rate that he presented to me was extremely high for the position. These were all red flags! I did some digging myself and asked him a few questions- I asked if his business was registered. He told me he had a tax ID for it and it was registered. He also said he would provide proof of that. He never did- instead, he sent me an email that said this :

Hello,

Unfortunately, due to budgetary limitations for our approved budget for the next fiscal year. We regretfully have to rescind the offer of the position for the Rental Ad Manager Position previously offered. We wish you the best of luck in your search for the position that is best for you. And again, apologize for the time you have invested thus far. Thank you.
