got a call from captial one saying they were from visa mastercard and they were going to help me lower my interest. i assumed it was a scam gave them a hard time and they hung up. i called back and the automated sysyem sounded legit, asking got the last of my credit card from capital one or my last of the social. i kept pressing one until i got someone. i asked them who they were. they didnt want to answer me and said i should know since i called them. i told them i got the call initially and it was very suspicious and i was calling back to see if they were legit. they hung up on me. i went to my capital one app and called the number on there. they did verify it was not a number associated with them and confirmed my account was okay.
