He Waited for me to call them instead of calling me. He Had someone answer the phone like a secretary to transfer the call.
Representative was extremely friendly, articulate, and not too pushy. He sounded very professional and knowledgeable. He sent me loan terms and conditions via text msg.
Then I was instructed to call back once I read and understood.
He then told me that I required a co signer or equity to lean but since he was able to move some info around and work some magic on my account, I had suddenly become eligible for the third option to secure my loan through "credit protection". He mentioned 3 times that originally , my approval had not included the third option which was "CREDIT PROTECTION" and now he had made it so I was able to have option 3. Normally this would only be avail to ppl with high credit scores, he said, which is not me.
The terms of the loan he sent said the loan was already secured so that made no sense why he needed it secured. He also asked me zero questions about my financial situation or employment. No documents were requested from me except my direct deposit info.
He said all I had to do was send the credit protection fee and I would have access to my loan funds. Once I paid 3 payment, I would be reimbursed for the fee.
$1950 was the requested amount upfront.
At that point , I became suspicious.
