He said I was approved for a personal loan but he needed me to put $200 on a prepaid card to verify that I had money and then the $2,500.00 loan would be deposited into my checking account.

This was the Text message I received after trying to get a loan. I received several phone calls. I researched Capital Bank and the FDIC number 33778 that was sent with a form they emailed me. All 3 banks were not in business

Andrew Williams stated I was approved for an $8000 loan, but had to send them $50 by credit or bank card first!!

I was looking for a personal loan and received an email from Jeffrey Glover with Capital Bank which I later found out was a scam. I have recently called the real Capital Bank and they are aware there is a scam out there where there logo is being used. They offered me a loan and told me I had to purchase a pre-paid (green dot) debit card and put $298 on it, I then gave them the card number over the phone. They then said I had to purchase an iTunes gift card in the amount of $400 in order to receive my loan. I bought it and gave the the number on the card. They refused to give me my loan saying I need to give them more money and that is when I knew it was a scam, this was all in May on the 2 and 3, 2016. They then told me they would cancel the loan and send me a refund for the $298 but not the $400. Today, June 16, 2016 I call to see if my refund is still coming and of course they tell me that I need to pay $120 to cancel the loan and then threatened to ruin my credit if I did not pay. I spoke with Robert Fernandez and Raymond Martin which I am sure are fake names.
