Contacted mountain Schnauzer Puppies online after seeing the puppies on pet classifieds. Chose Pablo as the puppy I wanted. On the website it states to use the cash app or Sells. My bank does do Sells, so I downloaded the cash app, by the time I was done they stated they do use the cash app. That should have been my first warning sign, but I wanted Pablo so bad I ignored it as I had to put my last schnauzer down in April. The breeder stated they will accept Apple gift cards so went down and got enough Apple Gift cards for $900.00 and texted Amy (the breeder), the cards with the code. Amy then sent me a contract to sign for the puppy and advised there would be insurance on the puppy for shipping which I thought would a could hundred dollars. It wasn't it was $1200.00 through Green Pet Logistics, who told me Pablo would be shipped through Delta airlines. They gave me a reservation number, so I called Delta to see if this was legitimate, but the wait time was 3 hours. I had to ask my parents for the $1200.00, so they went to Wal-Mart to purchase Apple gift cards. Wal-Mart advised my parents of puppy scams and gave them the Apple support number along with a fraud pamphlet and would only sell them $700.00 in cards. So my parents called me regarding what they were told and I was still set on Pablo I asked them to go to Walgreens to get the other $500.00, but their card was denied due to potential fraud. In between time I contacted the breeder and stated I could only come up with $700.00 which they stated they could help me with $400.00, but not the $500.00, so I told them I could cover it, thinking my parents would be able to get the $500.00 in cards, but again their card wouldn't go through due to possible fraud even though they had the funds available. When I told the breeder I couldn't cover the $500 she got upset so I told her I wanted my money back which she offered to give me the cards back. I told her no I wanted either a money order or cashier's check and before mailing to send me a picture of the check. I did contact Apple support, in which they flagged the cards so no one could spend any money on the cards. Now I have to contact Wal-Mart and Wall greens to see if I can get my money back. Its sad that there are people out there who prey on others and at my age I should have known better.
