I contacted canyon frenchies on 8/4/2020 inquiring about a french bulldog puppy they had listed for sale(akc registered and utd on all shots and microchipped). We exchanged bout 60 emails through their business email which is ([email protected]), 60-100 phone calls and text between my number are theirs which was (9727764473) and they sent me about 40-50 photos of the puppy i was suppose to receive. On 08/6/20 the fake company sent me a "legal contract and transfer of ownership " that I had to sign and both parties got the document notarized by a state notary. I signed the contract and sent it back to the "breeder" via email ,the breeder than also signed it and sent me back a texas state notary version of the document back to my email to confirm transfer of ownership of the puppy to me. I then sent the company $900 via zelle to this email ([email protected]) through bank of America for the purchase of the puppy and $200 for shipping. Shorty after sending the money I noticed the texas notarized document that the breeder sent back to me to confirm transfer of ownership to me was a fraud. the notary's ID# was 12345678-9, the notaries name was "jayne N doe". After noticing this, i attempted to find this notary in texas on the states notary website and couldnt located this notary. I brought this up to the breeder via email, text and phone call and the breeder said that was the persons real info and not to worry they are sending me the dog and I need to calm down. After noticing the document was fake, I downloaded a fake text number app and created a fake email , I contacted the breeder to inquire about the puppy that I already purchased and they attempted to sell the dog to another person. At this point I screen shotted the email and text, sent it to the breeder and told them they are caught and the breeder continued to try and say the reply was an auto reply since the puppy was not removed off the website yet. These sick and evil people continued to have contact with me even after i sent the money which made me feel like they weren't a fraud especially since they already got their money and provided what I thought at the time was a real legal notarized document. Upon further investigation, after reverse imaging the picture on google, 1 of the pictures were successfully found and the dog was sold in 2018 from a breeder in england. I screenshotted my solid proof and sent it to the scam breeder and they said they will not be refunding my money and to call my bank and have them return it. I called my bank and they do not cover scams so i am out of all that money. Even though i will never get my money back, I can at least try and save someone else from experiencing this emotional distress and financial loss like I did.
