Mid January 2021 we sent an email in regards to a puppy for sale purebreed for additional information. We requested additional photos and even video's. The scammer sent us several additional pictures, including photos of the parents of the puppy. They even included a video of the puppy playing in the yard with a sibling! We went back and forth via email and texting, finally we made a decision to move forward. But first we wanted to speak on the phone directly with the Breeder, we called and spoke with the breeder asked numerous questions in which he answered professionally and promptly too. We then received a Bill of Sale for the puppy, we were told we needed to execute the Bill of sale and send back prior to making the payment arrangement. They even gave us details of how the puppy was to be delivered and a time of delivery by 10:00 a.m. They requested payment via Zelle, and this is how they received payment. It took us two weeks to final move forward with this. On January 30, 2021 we sent the requested money via Zelle, as soon as they confirmed payment was received all communication from them ceased. We called, text and emailed numerous times with nothing. We immediately called our Bank and notified them of the scam, they were able to put a freeze on the account in which the money was sent too. Miraculously a month later, a call comes in from the Scammer. He apologizes for us not receiving our puppy, and says he wants to return our money to us. He asks how we would like it returned, we replied the same way it was sent to you Zelle. Safe to say we have never had that money returned from them..... he even had the audacity to send me a text saying the money was sent, I requested him to send me a confirmation. He actually sent me a confirmation of the confirmation I sent to him from my bank to his Zelle account. I replied to him do you think I am stupid? That is the confirmation I sent to you, you [censored]!
