It is a recording saying to call immediately or I will be arrested. The government only uses 800 numbers and there was no one on the line when I picked up just a recorded threatening message.

They left a message on my phone about legal action being taken if I didn't call immediately. I was fully aware that this was a scam, it was amateur at best. I would like to let people know for their safety

I received a phone call that said threaten me if I or my lawyer did not call back.

The called identified himself after I asked, as working for Revenue Canada.

I received a call at my work office today. It was an automated call, which a gentleman claims to be from CRA. He then further explains that it's an important matter and asked to be contacted asap. He left the phone # 1-844-301-0371. I called this number to confirm what the call is about. He asked for my name and then explains that I will need someone to represent me in court. I tried to dig a little for more information but when the man realizes that I was asking too many questions, he hung up on me.

I called a 2nd time and told them that they must provide a written letter from the CRA stating the offence. Then, they hung up on me again.

Got a call from someone also claiming to be an Canada Revenue "officer" who demanded I owed back taxes of up to $36K, my credit would be in shambles and police would come to the door etc etc. "Up to?" I asked, "RevCan is usually more exact than 'up to'!" The person became more aggressive and possibly frustrated (maybe they had not scored that week) but I shut them down with "I haven't paid taxes in decades honey, so go find someone else," and hung up. What a bunch of jerks.
