Received a call claiming to be from Canada Post. They had my name, number, and postal code, and said they had a package that was missing the rest of my home address. I initially said "what?" to which they then replied with my postal code which disarmed me momentarily enough for me to think "Oh, OK" and I gave my home address.

They didn't try to get anything else from me, and I didn't give anything else, but I realised the second I hung up that I'd done something very stupid.

Not sure what can be done with my address, but I googled the phone number they supposedly called from (604-251-6319) and it's definitely not Canada Post. When I called back, it had the Canada Post phone-menu playing the same as when you call the real Canada Post.

" FILL OUT THE INFORMATION AND PAY THE SHIPPING FEE OF $1 - 2 DOLLARS TO GET YOUR SHIPMENT DELIVERED TO YOUR DESIRED DESTINATION." - "MICHAEL ROBINSON CANADA POST." AND TO CLICK ON "COMPLETE DELIVERY". THEY ALSO USE THIS WITH THE ORDER NUMBER - CONTENT - AND THE SHIPPER IS AMAZON. SOME EMAILS HAVE THE ACTUAL CANADA POST LOGO AND OTHERS DO NOT.

I received an email that looks a lot like an official notice from Canada Post but it had some spelling/grammar and layout errors. It said that I had missed an attempted parcel delivery from Canada Post on Oct 20, 2017 and that I could click on a tracking link to arrange delivery. I have not ordered anything online and was not expecting a parcel.

I received an email which I still have and saved. It said I have a parcel to be picked up and it was my first notice. I had to click the link and print out the information. I was home all day it said I wasn't. My husband went to the post and Canada post said they do not send emails about missed drop offs. They would not have my email. So please warn the public I don't know if these people are watching to rob you or if its just a computer virus.
