I just had a telephone call from a woman who was representing a home rebate program. The first question she asked me was "Are you the home owner," to which I replied, "Yes." Then she asked me how old my house is. I quickly realized I wasn't talking to a real person, so I asked, "Are you a real person?" She replied with a mechanically drive, "I am here to help..." I quickly got off the phone. I hope the first "Yes" I gave doesn't lead me into trouble. I have heard that you should never answer yes to a question when it's an automated voice. But I honestly thought I was talking to a real person until a bit into the conversation when it became pretty clear that she was a computerized voice. I am not sure if this was a scam, but I am concerned that it might be a new scam???
