Can You Here Me Scam Reports & Reviews (3)

Scammer said, "Can you hear me? I'm having trouble with my bluetooth. Wait a second," then hung up. Reading Reddit posts, this has happened to many others, especially in the past couple of weeks. I did not say anything after I first answered, "hello," but it looks like others responded "yes" to the question of "Can you hear me?" which is what the caller is likely after. It appears to be a recorded call to try to capture your voice saying "yes" so it can be used for other purposes, such as purchase verifications and otherwise via phone.

I received a phone call and the automated service said "Hi this is [name] from customer service, can you hear me?" to which I answered "Yes". It then continued to offer prizes such as a trip to Disney. I have read that they want you just to say "yes" so that they can say you agreed to what they were offering later.
