I got a message about setting up a job interview for a fully remote data entry position with them via zoom but it was zoom messages. Upon getting the job they sent documents to my email to be filled out and they were asking me for my social, personal information, tax information a picture of my drivers license front and back. I’ve never had a remote job before so this all sounded correct but the more I go the more it seems “too good to be true”. They sent me a start up check asking me who I bank with and what is my check deposit limit they sent me a check for more than $4,000 I have not deposited it because I was informed that scammers can send you money to deposit and then take out everything I have as well as their money back. I’m feeling more and more like this is a scam and I worry I’ve already given out to much information. They don’t have my banking info but they do have my social and drivers license

I was contacted via e-mail about a $28/hr remote position for customer service, they used real names and pictures of actual employees, went through a long "interview" process which was very extensive but they often took a very long time to respond it was done through Microsoft teams chat. They then ask for your ssn through tax forms such as a W-4. However the E-Mail domain is not one they say they use on the website, the e-mail i was sent had 4 other recipients, and an email sent by "Tom DeStefano" was actually sent by an "Eric Miles". Don't waste your time like I did.

I first received a text message from someone claiming to be a recruiter from Camber Pharmaceuticals. They mentioned they had found my resume on Indeed.com. I went through the text process and was instructed to connect with another individual via ZOOM or Microsoft Teams. I went through with what I thought was the interview process. I was then emailed an offer letter with tax forms to fill out (W-4 and i9). I filled out the requested forms and sent them back.
