Someone by the name of Brandi S Barnett registered a Nonprofit Corporation under the name Calvary Church using our church address as the registered office address. Our actual business name is Calvary Lutheran Church of Bemidji. I was made aware of this when another church in Minnesota reached out to us to request the use of the business name Calvary Church. I contacted the Minnesota Secretary of State office to dissolve the name so the other church could use it. The MN SoS office told me to file a complaint with the ScamPulse.com or contact the Attorney General if I suspect fraud. I am unsure if this business name was used in some sort of fraud. I am not sure how to proceed from here.
