These people keep calling me and my Family threatening me with federal jail time, taking everything I own and taking my bank account. I don’t know who this is and they are using my former name from 15 years ago. They won’t tell me anything about a debt, which I don’t have any and are very threatening and I asked them to not call me or my family but they call everyday with threats. How do you stop this? Is it legal? It’s stressful for me and my family.

Said i was being sued for car fraud in 2007. When I asked about certain details of the case no answers just yelled at me and jotted off they had my info and gave me the wrong b-day and hung up. I called back to find out what kind of place would be so nonprofessional and find out the car make etc because that is the last thing i need to deal with and again when he came back he said that it was of a car that i have never owned.. Watch out folks it is a scam big time!!!

I received a call at 6:30am with a man saying he was suing me taking my income taxs and garnishing my wages. i told him i didnt know who he was and what he was talking about and that i didnt have the debt he was speaking of. he kept on me until i was in tears and made me feel i had no choice but to agree to making payments. i was half sleep distressed and bullied into a corner where i felt i had no choice.

They called and left a message saying all bank accounts are frozen that are associated with my social. I knew it was a scam but called back and the lady hung up on me!!

I have been contacted by Callahan and Associates several times on my private cell number in the last 90 days concerning a supposed debt by an individual to whom I am neither related nor legally responsible. The call was not about my debt. The first time they called, I spoke to the person and asked for my name to be removed from their calling list. Then this week I received a robo-call message from 408-221-4615 which stated "This is not a solicitation call. There is currently a motion that's been filed to suspend all bank accounts bearing your name and social security number. To review all immediate rights and details, and avoid all further proceedings, contact us back immediately today at 1-800-270-9061. Thank you." This voicemail repeated itself. I returned the phone call two days later, and after explaining the nature of the call, they indicated that their complaint was for another person. I responded that I was not associated with this person, and this resulted in them hanging up on me. I called back, and spoke to "Dan", after explaining that I was just hung up on, he said he didn't like the tone in my voice. I tried to get more information about the company contacting me, and he proceeded to talk over me and then also hung up on me. I called back a third time, asking to speak to a manager. I was told that the person answering the phone, a female by the name of "Shay", was in fact the manager. I told her that the last two people hung up on me, that I was not given any company information, and that I am not associated with the person to whom they seek. I explained that a few weeks prior I had received a similar phone call and at that time also asked to have my name removed from the contact list. Shay then said she removed my name from the contact list, and aggressively proceed to talk over me stating I should stop impugning her integrity that my name was still on the list, inferring I had no right to be upset. I indicated at that time that if there were further harassments from this company, I would take legal steps to stop them. Whoever they are, they are clearly not operating on a legal basis and avoided every opportunity to explain what the situation was about, and who they really are. I am blocking their numbers from my cell phone.

28AUG2018 - They called my cellphone twice today for solicitation purposes which violates the Consumer Telephone Protection Act. A pre-recorded (robocall) message repeated twice to my voicemail which basically stated they were going to "issue a warrant for my arrest" and to contact them immediately to prevent any further actions again me...even though I do not owe them or anyone else money.

I called them back at (951) 387-3966 and a male answered the phone with "Callahan and Associates". I stated their company was violating the Consumer Telephone Protection Act and to cease calling this number because it was not the person who owed them money and if they did not stop I would be pursuing a lawsuit for $500 per call which is the 3rd call I had received from their company. The male on the other end of the call hung up without saying anything or confirming the removal of my phone number.

I have had this cellphone number for over a year when I got a new Verizon phone and number and have repeatedly gotten debt collection calls due to the previous owner of the phone number apparently not paying his bills.

JUNE2018 - I have been called by Callahan and Assoc. before. I called them back and told them to stop calling because it was no longer the debtor's correct phone number and they were violating the Consumer Telephone Protection Act.

I have been receiving calls from this company for almost a year now. Originally they refused to even give me a business name. They claim I have an outstanding debt that I myst settle within 72 hours or tgey will file criminal fraud charges. They claim to be "Chief Investigators".

They refuse to mail me any information on this debt they claim I own. They want your bank info, etc. Of course I won't provide it. They have now started calling my family members in other states....at work and home stating I have civil court matters that must be settled or I will be prosecuted.

If you google this company, they are well known for this type of behavior. Please do not fall victim to it.

I cannot get them to quit calling me, they won't stop calling my family either. They call from all different numbers so I can't simply block them either.
