Received a letter in the US postal mail stating that the creditor: Synchrony Bank/PayPal Smart Connect is attempting to collect a debt from me. There was a balance for $1177.61. It requested I send in a payment. I went to the CAC website, I attempted to enter the account number provided and it kept saying that account number was wrong. It appears this is a scam. I do not have a paypal account to my knowledge.
