On Thursday, June 9 2022 I contacted Johnathan Lewis AKA Jonathan Holmes through a Facebook Marketplace posting advertising landscaping and hardscape services. He came to my house Friday, June 10 and gave me a price for a paver walkway ($1300 including labor and materials) and requested a 50% deposit ($650) which he said was for materials. I was told work would begin Monday June 13. He never showed up and I was given numerous excuses each time I inquired about when he would showing up. After many, many text exchanges he finally showed up for 3 hours on Saturday, June 25 and began removing my old walkway. He said he would be back the following day to continue working, but I never heard from him again. I now have no walkway at all, a giant dirt hole and huge pile of concrete debris sitting in my front yard. I have a signed contract, proof of all communication, and proof of check payment for work that was never completed. I also never received any of the materials I paid for with my deposit. The check was made out to his wife, Ami Holmes.
