Scammer pretends to be a law firm from out of state and caller was pretending to be an Indiana civil process division employee and was directing me to call the phone number listed and/or view the website for verification. Website is similar to real law firm web page, but words are different in web address. BurkeandFoster.com opposed to the real one of Burkefoster.com

I was called and told that someone the following day would be arriving at my place of employment and my Manager would asked to be present, or if I didn't work, the person would be serving me papers at my home.
When I asked why, I was told that a judgement was being filed against me and they were giving me a friendly call to make arrangements with them out of court to avoid time and embarrassment.
I felt pressured and somewhat scared and offered to make monthly payments of $100 a month and it was denied.
I was a bit suspicious so I immediately notified the court. I was informed that IF a judgement would be awarded against me, I would be notified from the court as to a court date and given time to plea my case, or my personal circumstances.
I was also told that when being pressured or threatened, it is best to make payment arrangements through a court and not give out my bank information over the phone.

While I was at work, my phone received a call from a number that it reported as spam, so it blocked the number from ringing and it went straight to my voicemail inbox. The person calling me stated his name was "Sean Adams" from "Burke and Foster" law firm. He stated that he was calling about a civil judgment filed against me and that this call is prior to being served in person. He then stated that I need to return a call to his "law firm" at (877) 708-5926 with the "case file number" he also stated. I filed a police report and hope that no one falls for this scam.
