Type of a scam Tech Support
I called the number and the man said he would connect me to someone who is apple certified. I was told I did not have a firewall and he remotely accessed my computer. Next thing I know he is selling me tech support and security for lifetime for $399.99. I kept questioning him, asking if this was a scam, but he assured me it was not. He said I had to pay by check and I had to type in my bank routing # and account #. They did go through my computer and said it was installed.
The next day I went to the Apple Store to see if they were an Apple approved vendor and was told no. I immediately went to my bank and closed my account. The money was not yet taken out of the account.
I just want to prevent other unsuspecting victims from this scam.
