We contacted bullterrier pups for sale to look at 3 dogs in Tulsa OK. We gave Michael Assanga ( phony name) a $400.00 to hold reserve 3 dogs. Initially I made contact via email and wondered why they would not reveal location. The website was professionally done but used metrics first rather than US lbs and inches which later led us to believe that they are offshore. My husband spoke with the alleged Michael and sent via Zelle a $400.00 deposit on or about 1/15. We drove to Tulsa in good faith to see the dogs. We had a phone address in Tulsa where allegedly the breeder lived. I will not disclose the address of the address victim at this time that we visited. We contacted the breeder the eve of 1/17 to arrange a time to see the dogs. He said he would call us right back and did not. We then texted him to arrange a time. No response. I called the next day using another cell #. Once ge asked where I lived- which I said Tulsa OK - he hung up. We visited the address provided to scope it out knowing we had been scammed the next morning. The property owned answered the door adknew exact why we were there. She indicated that several people had been there to acquire bull pups or Aikida pups. This scammer has a least 2 sites that we know of. We returned home and contacted **** to report the scam. We were interviewed one the matter. We think that will be aired this week. We also contacted Zelle- but were told there is no recourse. My husband contacted via email. the website developer in India and gave them a heads up that this was a scam. As of today - the website has been deactivated but we are certain that they are building another.
