I was contacted via text message offering me a remote job position as an App Optimization Engineer with Buildfire International Application, Inc. I was then introduced to a trainer by the name Maria Elizabeth who only way to contact her was through Whats' App. Maria Elizabeth began training me on Buildfire Platform, I was then asked if I had a Cash App account because that was the best way for them to pay my commissions and salary. I told them I did have a Cash App account and the first day of training I was paid a commission by Maria Elizabeth on the my first day at the job everything went well with an exception that I begin experiencing difficulties with the platform as it seem to be stuck and wouldn't allow me to continue to do my work as I reach out to my trainer Maria Elizabeth she informed me that I needed to "add funds into the platform and contact customer service". I was then asked by Elizabeth to open my Cash App and add funds I had funds through Bitcoin. I was then provided with a wallet number from customer service to do the transaction. When I began to ask question regarding why I needed to add my own money to the platform I was told not worry about it as that is how the platform works and that all my earnings will return right back to me. However the platform began to ask for bigger amounts of money on day 3 and 4th and I wasn't seeing any returns or payments from Buildfired when customer service notice I wasn't adding money they begin to ask why, I told them I didn't have any more money as I had already sent $3,347 dollars and wasn't getting my money back as promise I then requested them to return my money they said I was over reacting and to talked to the group chat with all this 12 people were working everyone kept telling me to keep adding money and not to worry then some of them will send screenshot of their earnings and someone everything seem fine and I was then given a Zelle account to send $1,000 money. Even after that amount I was then asked for another $2,000 and that it will be my final transaction. I refused as I still didn't get my money back and this was already day 6th of me doing work. Maria Elizabeth than reach out asking "why I was procrastinating at work that she was really concern about my performance" I let her know that my bank had frozen my account and started doing an investigation as I was doing crypto transactions then Maria Elizabeth ask me not to "mention anything about the platform or crypto to my bank and to let them know I was sending money to a loved one so my bank can unfreeze my account. Thats when I knew I was being scam I immediately begin to ask for help and came to find out this platform was a scam, I reported everything to my bank as well and file an IC3 report.
