I was searching for a rental car for an upcoming trip. I did a Google search for "Budget rental car," and called the number that popped up, 888-681-3542. I thought I was talking to Budget. The agent offered me a special deal if I used an American Express card to pay. I don't have an American Express card, but he said I could buy an American Express prepaid card at Walgreens. So I went to Walgreens and bought one for $500. I called him back and gave him the information he needed. He gave me a confirmation number. Something didn't seem right, so I went to check the balance on the card because there should have been money left on it after Budget took their payment. The card w[censored]d out and I never got a confirmation number for any rental.

did this reservation on mobile got very legitimate looking email and follow up email to check in on line. Contacted Bidget and they show no record of this reservation
