Type of a scam Employment

10/07/2021 Applied for an Accounts Payable Clerk (Remote Position) posted on LinkedIn. Received an email on 10/12/2021 from [email protected] He identified himself as Sterling Linford Interview Manager (also found on their website but they have changed his title to Executive HM) I did not respond, a second email received 10/13/2021 asking to answer typical interview questions. Once I answered another email came telling me to Text 330-520-3651 "YES" for further instructions for offer letter and background check. I did not reply. 10/14/2021 Received text message saying he was Michael J S. (name removed as he was almost scammed too) the supervisor attached to set up my background check, processing and training, that I had not Text "Yes" to the number. He sent me a photo of "His ID" a Drivers License from Iowa. I filled out what seemed to be a legit background check. I got a call from the business number as listed on their website and emails, I could hardly understand a word he was saying. He wanted me to use id.me to take a picture of myself and my ID for verification sent me a 6 digit code, and then another. When I started to investigate more and did not comply, he called again and said I HAD TO DO IT NOW! I Did Not. I Did Not. I actually then researched and found Michael J S, called him to see if he was actually affiliated with BTSoft Solutions. He Said No.! I told him they had sent me his ID in a text message so they probably have his information too. Because I did not respond to their text. They then sent another "Offer Letter" asking me to Sign and Send Back. I got an Alert This Morning of a Credit Inquiry to open a credit account in my name. (Sofi Lending) I have contacted that company, and all three credit reporting agencies. BTSoft Solutions Has REMOTE Jobs Listed on Multiple Job Search Platforms and Must be Stopped. These Job Boards Need To Validate Legitimate Job Posters They Should Stop This on Their End Before It Can Reach People! This is not the first company to send me a scam but the one who got far into the "process" and the most information out of me. When I reported to LinkedIn They Did Not Take Me Seriously at first and have since removed the post. I have attached the email. That link is where they stole my ID and SSN.
