I was approached by a BTM Leasing Solutions which turned out to be a fake company for a position in Boston as a project manager with a lucrative salary and benefits. They set me up for a Phone interview and afterwards as a process of selection round they put me in a month long selection process. In this process they would send me questions every week and I would send them the answers. The questions were related to the position which would looked normal. Mid way into this process, they asked to help them in setting up new office in Boston for which I had to buy them laptops. I was promised healthy commission for setting it up. For which they gave me an bank account number to add into my credit card. I added that to my credit card and transferred that fund to my credit card account. Afterwards, I transferred that money to the Best Buy gift card. Everything looked normal to that point, I was not losing anything. Because at this point I felt it was their money, I wasn't hesitant in giving them the pin number for the Best Buy card. As soon as they transferred the money from the Best Buy, all the transfers from their bank account to my credit card came as failed payment. I tried reaching out to them but they were gone, they closed down website. All I was left with was a huge credit card debt.
