Contacted me about a job as a personal assistant, seemed too good to be true at first but after days of e-mail and the content in the responses I believed it was legit. The scammer told me he was going to send me my pay and some money to purchase items for children in an orphanage. Later he changed his mind on the items and gave me a story and how he was just going to send the money and needed me to send it to them.

I recieved a check in the mail for around $5,500 and the scammer then began to text me, instructing me to go cash it then send it. I went to wells fargo and they quickly caught on to it, took the check from me and told me it was fraud. After I texted the scammer back and he never replied, but now sends me e-mails from different E-mail accounts about jobs I've been "accepted" for. They all look very legit, but my account now automatically puts their email accounts into a folder.
