Indeed.com had a job posting for Wayne Township for a receptionist/Assistant, after applying I saw that it was closed because they decided to go with an candidate. However I got an email from an supposed indeed email address. It was from a man named Bruce Browning. It contained a link taking you to another site where it said “positions are all filled but the only position we have left is a assistant job.” It offered $550 a week for 3 days. It seems like a for doing such little work. So I was getting more suspicious but I need money bad so I decided to fill out the questionnaire they provide and send it through my email to the email address provided ([email protected]). In addition, his name was Bruce Browning and he mentioned I would get paid after completing first “task”. I was getting more and suspicious after sending the questionnaire it contained my address and my name, nothing like SS# or date of birth or anything like that. I knew better than to give out that information. However I decided to not do it anymore and I didn’t hear back from him. Two days later I get a message for a fed ex package being delivered, and I got an email fro Bruce Browning saying he already sent the check. I thought it was weird he sent the check before confirming my employment, I have never seen that in my life. So then ta check showed up at my door around noon. I live with my mom and sister, both work with money and the one had a job dealing directly with checks. I showed it to them, they both confirmed that it was fake also none of The addresses matched. He wanted me to cash it in my account right away. I was NOT going to do that either, he even texted me after the package was delivered. After researching in google the bank name on the check to see if the check was a real one from that bank, the first thing that came up was “fake check scam” in addition I looked the address on the package it was for the Wells Fargo Tower in Georgia but the Browning claimed he was in Canada for a summit/conference. I knew that didn’t make sense. Lastly, he said he would send me $550 for the gifts he wanted me to buy for an “Orphanage” but when he sent them money, it was over $5000. He said that “there were a change in plans and he was getting gifts instead as well as the orphanage more expensive gifts than two days.” That’s when I decided to contact the ScamPulse.com
