This is a pop up COVID test site with several locations in San Diego, advertised on local news stations. On January 4, 2022, I went to the Broadwell Health pop up test site at the Santa Fe depot in downtown San Diego and took a PCR test. They asked for my ID and copied every bit of information from my drivers license (name, address, birth date, drivers license number) on a piece of paper that got folded up and went into a plastic sandwich bag with the test. I was told I would get results in 72 hours. After not receiving results, I began reaching out to them with a regular cadence, both via email and phone. I received email replies and was also able to speak to someone in the first week each time I reached out and was told it would just be a few more days. I asked if they could look up my test and see where I was in the queue, which would also give me peace of mind and confirm that they actually still had my test but they said they could not. The only reason they could provide an estimate was because they had an idea of the rate at which tests were being processed and that test results from a certain date we’re just starting to get reported at the time of the call, so they could estimate when tests from the date that I took mine would come out. When those dates had passed, I continued to email and call - they stopped replying to my emails and my calls went to voicemail. After 16 days, I got a call back and was told that they were so backed up that they partnered with a new lab and they could give me the address of a new site to go to and get tested and that I would get results in 2-3 days. I asked them what lab had my old test and they said they could not disclose that information. I asked what would happen to my old test and they said they do not know. I asked them what would happen with my personal information and did not get a reply. I told them that I was concerned that they were not handling my personal information in a safe and secure fashion and did not receive a satisfactory response - they only repeated that they could give me the address of a new test site to go to. I told them my symptoms were gone, so getting a COVID test 16 days later would be useless and they agreed with me, but continued to repeat their canned speech of suggesting I go to their new pop up site. A month later, I still have no idea what happened to my test and the paper that has all my drivers license information on it.

It’s been 14 days and I never got my COVID test results from a trolley station pop up clinic. Others on Twitter @sdmts are complaining and KPBS did an article about the delay in results. The company keeps claiming delays and they are ‘working on it’. Today they opened more testing sites in Kearney mesa! yet they can’t process the samples they took two weeks ago? It’s clearly a scam and they now have all my info.
