Brightline Moving Reports & Reviews (1)

This moving company is ridiculous. They are a moving broker and do not vet their movers. A plethora of online reviews shows that the movers hold customer’s things hostage until clients pay 2-4X the original quote in cash. We signed an initial agreement and were told that we had 72 hours to cancel for a full refund. We cancelled within our 72 hour cancellation window as soon as we learned about the shady things this company does. We even read our contract which required that our second payment be made in cash. That did not feel right. When we asked the movers about this, they gave us some bologna answer about paying money to workers across state lines. This was all BS. When I tried to cancel, the worker argued over the phone with me repeatedly and told me I was making an emotional decision and not thinking logically. When I asked to be transferred to a manager, it was the rude employee’s brother. They are literally a family of scammers. Finally, I was transferred to the manager who told us the move was canceled but that he could not give us a refund because we didn’t cancel within the cancel window. We argued back and forth and he finally agreed to give us half of our $1354 back. We signed documentation agreeing to this and NEVER got our partial refund. When I attempt to contact this “company” now, nobody answers. They are shady and should absolutely be shut down before they continue making hundreds if not thousands of dollars off of people trying to move.
