Was looking to purchase a teacup poodle. Found a site called Bright Poddles and filled out their form. They replied that I was accepted to receive the 11 weeks old 1 1/2 lb puppy, delivered to my residence. They sent me an invoice for $550, which included $50 shipping fee, to be paid via Western Union. I made the payment, they received the payment. Next morning (1/8/18) I received an email that the puppy will be delivered by 3:30-4:00pm 1/8/18. The delivery agent emailed me that everything was set up and would contact me when finalized. I then received another email stating that due to the bad weather in Pittsburgh, the airport would not accept the dog without an ‘Electronic Ventilated Crate’ which I need to purchase for $950 to be paid via Western Union. I told them I wouldn’t pay that and they should ship the puppy during better weather. They said they will charge me for storage. My original agreement states that if I am not satisfied I can let them know and will receive a full 100% refund. I emailed the original person I dealt with stating I wanted a refund and still haven’t received a response. I notified Western Union Fraud department, they gave me a fraud file #, filed the incident report and told me to notify the local police and file a complaint with them and they will investigate the fraud. I left a message with the Limerick Police to do just that. I am going to notify the local news as well.
