Scammer continuously threatened the cops would get involved and put my friend in jail for not paying the rest of the money because the dogs were “being held” at the airport for not having documents. Scammer was being very unprofessional and insisting to pay. After I asked if they had a dog breeding license, I got no response. They also did not give me an address or phone number I could call to the supposed airport.

Selling my truck, put of province number asks regular questions, but asks for a vehicle report before he comes to see it, at my cost. 28$ I say I can get a more reputable one like carfax after he sees the truck and makes an offer. He insists again to use his website that looks almost legit. Just looks slightly cheap. No response since, he gave up I guess

I listed my car on craigslist and had multiple people text me posing as a potential buyer. I was asked to run a VIN or Vehicle Title Report' via a website link for VIN reports that are not approved by National Motor Vehicle Title Information System (NMVTIS).

This is the website Brian (916-306-8873) asked me to use: vinverificationreports.com

HE tried to make me buy a V report from this website but I didn't trust it, because I believe carfax is the best.

I'm selling some service trucks on KSL.com solicitor said he was interested in vehicles and wanted me to send him a AR report from vehicleauditreports.com. This was the only report he trusted (first red flag went up) Asked me where I was located wanted to see the truck I gave him a city and state. I then asked him where he lived he told me a town with the general region of mine. Asked him his name he said Brian ask for his last name (next red flag) and that I had family in that particular town and could bring the truck to him for an inspection and I could visit with family while there. (Next red flag) He didnt give me a last name and insisted I send him the AR report from the website he gave me and we would discuss further. Please be aware people and always ask questions to protect yourself. It has help me from being scammed. Also I ran the phone number and it was a land line in CA

This specific individual demanded that I use their site for a vehicle report after I said that I would only use an approved site from the https://vehiclehistory.bja.ojp.gov/nmvtis_vehiclehistory. He then proceeded to tell me that the DOJ site is fake. Extremely pushy.

I was called by a person who told me I could get a discount on my gas bill if I would agree to talk to a representative. I said I would and I was transferred to a man named Brian. The conversation was being taped for quality . He asked if I could hear him and I said I could hear him. He then asked for my recent gas bill and I got suspicious and told him I did not know where to locate the bill. I then told him"you can call my wife next week and she would be able to locate the bill". Brian was pleasant and we hung up. Afterward I realized that I did not know who he was representing. And in talking to friends was informed that scammers can take out a portion of your words and place a different question in front of it so that my words ":you can" could sound like an agreement to let them put me on an agreement to buy something. They could add "Can we put you down as a purchaser of...............?in front of the "you can"
