I saw online an advertisement for making money by advertising a major company on my vehicle. I filled out the form, just interested in what this was about and how much it would pay. That was about 2-3 weeks ago. Today, I received a "Priority Mail" from BOSCOV, representing themselves as advertising for Breyers Ice Cream. Inside was a letter on plain white paper giving me instruction on how to deposit the enclosed check for $2850.50, the payer was Trans-Overseas Corporation,28000 Goddard Road, Romulus Michigan 48174. Upon reading the letter, it was obviously NOT from Breyers Ice Cream, as there was no professional stationary, and looked like a simple computer printer made it. I doubted the legitimacy due to grammatical errors and double restatement in the same sentence, and also the fact that after depositing the check, I was to pay the "installers of the car wrap" $2000, the remainder I was to keep as my payment for advertising. Additionally, the total amount of the check would not be available "right away", so this was also a red flag. Upon looking up Trans-Overseas Corp, it is a Customs Brokerage, Freight Forwarding, Warehousing and Logistics service, not an advertising agency. Obvious scam, fake check, and attempt at getting me to pay for something, BEWARE
