I applied for a loan online at www.brenlocklenders.com and was contacted via email by a Reese Whiteman ([email protected]) and later by Jamie Lane ([email protected]). They said I was approved for a $5000 to help rebuild my credit and that I had to make a collateral deposit to cover the first 3 months' payment due to my low credit score. They sent instructions to make the payment via bitcoinwell.com. I sent $500 and told Reese who connected me to Jamie Lane, Jamie said I needed to send an additional $750 for insurance because their lender re-evaluated my file and the money would be reimbursed within 48hrs. As soon as I sent the payment and emailed them to confirm they were depositing my loan as promised, none of the email addresses were working, I couldn't get through. I tried their toll free number 888-778-2010 and it wasn't going through, then the number was no longer in service, all I got was a busy signal. Hours later I got an email from [email protected] claiming to be the vice-president of the company asking me to send another $675 for them to transfer the loan; he said he was working from home and they were having technical difficulties but if I send the money they'd release the loan. At that point I told him this was clearly a scam and I would not be sending anymore money and I never heard back.
