I received an email from a "recruiter" from Cone Health out of NC for a "Health Coach" to work remotely from home. The scammer used a real recruiters name that they likely got off of Linkdin. She also sent me a packet by email describing the job and responsibilities. She requested that I complete an interview per TEAMS the next day. The interview was 1.5 hours long and was written back and forth between the scammer and me answering questions that she sent. She said that my answers were going to be recorded and given to HR and the hiring manager. I received a phone call the next day stating that a man named Corey was going to call me back and that he was from HR. He was going to discuss my answers that the position with me. I spoke to Corey and he "welcomed me aboard". The following day, I received on-boarding paper work including an I-9, W-4, Direct Deposit form and offer letter. All of the paperwork was suspicious and ridiculous. I decided that I was not going to send anything to them until I spoke to Cone Health HR on Monday to find out if this was a scam or not. By then I knew It probably was. On Saturday, I messaged a man named Sean who the scammer told me would be my boss. I messaged him on Linkdin. He responded back right away and stated that he is not a healthcare worker but does construction for Cone health!!! I also messaged "Brianne Kopf" the recruiter for Cone health on FB messenger and she too stated that she was aware of this scam and her company is working on taking care of this scam. They were very smooth and completed an hour and a half interview with me. Likely to get me to give them my bank account information and SS number. I also spoke with someone on the phone who claimed to be HR. These scammers studied Linkdin before setting this up because they used real people's names.
