Stated that I needed to go online by 12/3/2023 to register my LLC because I had an obligation under new federal law to register to prevent financial crimes. It also stated that I must provide updated ownership information regarding my business. However, my business is a newly developed business. The letter also stated that "I had received it nor if I complied with filing before the above date is an indicator you have or are a suspect of having committed any crimes." It also stated that "if I didn't comply, that I could be subject up to civil fines of $500/day, criminal fines of up to $10,000, and/or imprisonment for up to 2 years." They stated that "they simplified the process with a new online process."
