Type of a scam Employment
I have been applying for employment and was particularly interested in an entry-level PR Assistant position that would allow me to work remotely with good pay. I did a one-click to apply, it was strange that the description of the job looked like a picture and it appeared it was through google docs. I received a text and then an email. I would have been happy to have things move fast but became suspicious. I checked out the company site and it was legit. Someone called immediately and asked me a few questions about my background and when I was able to start and kept saying "if your application is approved, you will receive an offer". Then she asked if I had a checking account...odd. Shortly after I received a notice with an "official contract" that was a red flag. I looked at both the recruiter and the chief operating officer's names and called the company directly. It was a legit business and the location etc was correct except for the phone number and they never heard of the 2 people that are connected with this process. Also, they were not looking for a PR Assistant. I told the gentleman I would report it to the BBB. Here I am, I have not responded yet to the scammers as I want to give the ScamPulse.com a chance to catch them. No one gets a job this quickly and it was way too good to be true. I'm glad I caught it but I'm sure someone will be a victim, unfortunately.
