They called trying to tell me my property taxes had not been paid, and they were a collection agency and would collect on taxes. I didn't give them any information and asked a lot of questions, and required proof that they knew what they were talking about - that really flustered the woman on the phone - she couldn't give me answers, so I hung up.

I then called Parker County (Texas)Tax Appraisal Office, and they told me what I expected - the tax notices had not gone out yet and my mortgage company would pay them in December 2018. They also said this was a scam and I should report this to the BBB. It was obvious that the scammer wanted money and expected me to react - I did, just not the way they expected.
